CLEAR THE SHELTER!

Saving the dogs of guam

In honor of our one-year anniversary, we are planning our biggest flight yet: Clear The Shelter.

In May, we will send every eligible dog from GAIN

to loving homes and our partner rescues stateside.

By doing so, we will be one step closer to reaching our goal of 1,000

unwanted Boonie dogs flown off island by the end of this year.

Our Story

As many know, our beautiful island of Guam has a dog overpopulation problem.

With an estimated 60,000 dogs, there are simply not enough homes on Guam to care for them all. This results in unnecessary suffering and death of these animals.

In response to this need, Boonie Flight Project was born. We are a dog rescue working closely with Guam Animals In Need (GAIN) and the Guam Department of Agriculture to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome unwanted dogs off island. Since April 2021, we have sent over 250 dogs to homes in more than 20 states.

We have a large and rapidly growing fan base of

adopters across the U.S. who are always asking us for more Boonies.
